COVID ANNOUNCEMENT: Due to COVID-19 I am currently seeing all patients via online / telehealth appointments. Learn more about online therapy for California residents.

Rates and Insurance

My standard rate is $200 per session (50 minutes).

I am currently accepting new telehealth therapy clients in CA, FL, & UT.

I am not directly paneled with insurance plans, however you may be able to use out-of-network benefits to get reimbursed for our sessions. Read questions below to learn more.

In some cases you may be eligible to use out-of-network insurance benefits. You will be responsible for paying for each session in full at time of the appointment.

I work with Mentaya, a platform that helps clients get money back on out-of-network therapy sessions. If you have out-of-network benefits, Mentaya will file claims and handle the insurance paperwork to make sure you get reimbursed. This service will be provided as no cost to you.
Note: Mentaya’s goal is to save you time and money. It’s completely optional, and as your therapist I do not benefit in any way from your participation.

You can use the out-of-network reimbursement calculator (below) to get an individualized estimate of what your costs will be using your out-of-network benefits!

If you have out-of-network benefits, they may reimburse you up to 60-80% of the cost of each session.
If you’d like, I will submit claims to your insurance company on your behalf via Mentaya.

Your out-of-network benefits are usually pretty straightforward to use. To make things even simpler for you, I’ve partnered with a company, Mentaya, who will submit your claims to your insurance company at no cost to you.

Should you decide to submit claims on your own, most insurance companies have you upload your monthly superbill online (I would send the Superbill to you when requested) and then they will mail you a check with your reimbursement.

I accept all major credit cards as forms of payment. Your HSA account may also be eligible to fund therapy sessions.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you may be charged for the full rate of the session.

Please contact me for any additional questions you may have. I look forward to hearing from you!
